Being a Photographer for a long time (Actually he has taken his first image at the age of nine..hence exposed a sheetfilm! ), he went all the way, from 35mm, 2¼" x 2¼ ", 4"x5" up to 8"x10" and 11"x14". Recently also explored the digital paths, not so remarkable though as his friend Henry Miller(N.J), who recently bought his Kodak digital camera at the age of 90!!

A recent quote of the Large Format mavin: "Getting started with LF photography is no walk in the park. it is a challenge like any other discipline" Once you master the camera and all technical questions are vanished...the real fun begins.

It is from here that John D. Photography comes into action. OK, here's the situation: You're about to go in for that big beast. And even though you were successfull with the smaller formats with an emphasis on B&W , your "resume" proudly declares that you know how to create a real photograph. You are trapped in the morass of your own deceit. But fear not! John D. is here to teach you everything you need to know about LF Photography - and it's really not that tricky.Read here what a LF photographer must be capable of..

Don't let the big beasts fool you though.. They are capable making images of extraordinary quality, but I quote: "L'homme agit comme il voit" or "In one's way of seeing, lies one's way of action"

John D. Photography is based in the Netherlands. Stop by and say Hello, when you are in Driebergen...

Till we meet..
