The camera is handmade of Bubinga wood, precision engineered aluminium.
The camera accepts international cut film holders 4"x5".
The newer Riteway and Fidelity with the white sliderlocks won't work, but it is easy to disable this lock
Just push it downwards and drop some glue on it(Colles Seconde).
The mechanical shutter made of aluminium (gold or Black) works with any cable release through the conical adapter mounted on top of the camera.
Two tripod mounts i.e horizontal and vertical.(1/4 x20)

The Hal camera comes complete with a filter holder, which takes filters with a 58mm thread.
The other view will show the Hal filter mount with a Polar filter.

The mechanical shutter works like a lever. When you push the release it slides away and thus permits the light coming in for the desired time.
It will snap (Spring driven) back and closing the pinhole at will through the cable release.
Behind the curved shutter is a plastic ring of 1,5mm minimizing the friction and taking care of a smooth operation!

Together with your Halcamera you will receive another pinhole of 0.5mm
The pinholes can be interchanged very easily, which will allow you to experiment with lesser focused images or Zoneplates.

Another interesting example of excellent design by Joaquin is this custom ordered shutter mounted on a Sinar board.
Actually it is a disk with 4 pinholes (0,3, 0,4, 0,5 & 0.6mm) complete with shutter.
This turret is still a prototype but stay tuned for newer versions>
